Shazam! is back! This series is based off the one that started in JL, what, 20ish years ago? DC recently republished all those issues in one compact volume, so I think we all knew that the reboot was coming. Still, it’s a useful resource if you wanted to be able to dive right in and understand what’s going on.
I like the idea of Shazam! being rebooted, but honestly I think my long term interest in the series will depend entirely on what sort of antagonists they throw against them (yes, them) and what sort of plots we’ll be seeing. I think the series has potential, but at the same time I have a couple of concerns…so I’ll just have to wait it out I think.
