I’m sad to see this series go, but man…I have to say that I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion out of it. This was everything I had hoped for, and more. That is not necessarily to say that there’s a happy ending – this is fairy we’re talking about, after all.
I love that this series made their own rules for fairy (rules that made sense within the broader scope of the mythology) and then they stuck to those rules. It gave everything a sense of grounding, but it also gave us a bit of an idea of what we could expect in return.
The conclusion was downright eerie, and I think that’s what made it so perfect. Realistically I’m not sure this could have ended any other way. Not with the path that’s already been taking. It’s certainly a memorable conclusion.
