This is the second short story between the two books of the Flame in the Mist duology. And as much as I love Ōkami, I think I enjoyed this story even more. Yumi is an important yet secondary character in the first book, but there was something about her that truly appealed to me. She had a hidden strength to her, making it easy to overlook who she was at the core. That hidden strength becomes far less hidden in this story, and I loved that!

Also way too short haha XD But filled with promises of more Yumi in the next book.. I certainly hope so !
