I was expecting First Sight to be a bit more suspenseful. Tessa's family is always on the look out (her dad's ability allows him to see through others eyes, including their terrorist), and are constantly rehashing the fact that they're in danger. But I never felt it, since most of this part seemed to be about Tessa's loneliness and establishing the romance. She never, ever makes friends, since she can't stand to build relationships on lies. Plus she's going to leave them within a few months, so why bother? But something is different with Tristan and they immediately click, so Tessa puts herself out there. I did like how their relationship developed over weeks rather than minutes, but I would have liked a bit more about why the family is being hunted.
I did enjoy First Sight. It was quick and interesting and did leave me wanting to learn more. I have lots of questions though, since we're not told much about why this family has abilities, or how this man found out about them, or why he wants to murder them all. I could understand experimentation, since they're different, but something must have happened if he wants them all dead.
