[Romance Schmomance]

Well... that was a wild ride and one that I haven't quite been on before. I can't say that I loved this series, but boy was it absolute ADDICTING. This was definitely a binge read and I was intrigued the other whole time. A bit OTT for me and Abbi's family and ex were frustrating to no one and that drew me out of the story quite a bit.

Tempt Me

With Tempt Me being the first in this series, it was also written in 2015. Nowadays, I'm not really a fan of reading about heroines that are super innocent and a bit naive, but with that being said I was excited to read about her character development. And what a treat that was because there was so much self-discovery for her.

One of my favorite interactions between Abbi and Henry is when they first meet, it was her first time being drunk. So she was rather honest with her thoughts and it was hilarious especially because she didn't know that he was her boss at the time. That was definitely one of the sweetest moments between the two.

Book 1 really sets the stage and it's full of sexual tension, and it's such a steamy read!

Break Me

Book 2 I struggled with because this book was pretty much a turn of events that I didn't quite see coming. It was definitely what I expected to happen when it comes to Abbi because of the relationship she had with Henry. It was all very new to her and there was a lot she needed to learn. I definitely didn't agree with her thought process when it came to her actions. So this was a book you just kind of take for what it is.

There's definitely some exploration that Abbi does in this one, so don't fret, the erotic times are still very much happening ;-) if that's your thing!

Teach Me

I started to lose steam a little bit this one, I just can't stand Abbi's mother and ex-boyfriend. They are extremely frustrating and just refused to move on and accept where Abbi was with her life. That factor definitely overpowered most of the book, to be honest. I just wanted Henry and Abbi to be as they try to figure out their relationship was a little bit of a long distance. It's a true struggle that many relationships face and I could completely connect to that.

Abbi's insecurities really surface in this one and that was tough for her to deal with it especially because she constantly needed that reassurance.

Onto book 4.

Surrender to Me

Definitely my favorite of the series! The wild ride continues and it honestly felt like it was never going to end. It was solid conclusion to Henry and Abbi's story. Not going to lie, I truly enjoyed all the erotic moments in this one. I'm serious, this series was definitely an addicting and pleasant surprise. If you're just looking for something to binge, give this one a go. Prepare yourself for a crazy ride.
