This is a fast pacing book and very well written, although it did remind me slightly of the Sookie Stackhouse books.

Dawn has lived a rather sheltered lift at the Presidential Headquarters where she and her father live. He has always pushed for her to be well trained so that he never had to worry about her safety. She loves living at the headquarters, but has always dreamed of being given a mission that would take her away and give her the chance to prove herself. When Angel Creek needs new guardians and she is placed in charge of training them, she feels like she has finally gotten her chance. Upon arriving at Angel Creek and meeting the ragtag crew of misfits, she finds that she has a lot of work ahead of her. When a local human is kidnapped, her and her team must band together to save her. As they go to rescue her, secrets come out that change Dawn's life forever.
This book was so fantastic! It isn't often that a series leaves me floored, but ReVamped has done just that. The writing style is nice and easy. There is a perfect flow about it that draws you in and embraces you tenderly. The story hooks you right from the start and you can't escape the pages until the story is over.
The characters are fabulous. They all felt well rounded and fleshed out. They weren't over the top or hard to like. They were each perfect in their own perfect little way. Dawn is a wonderful heroine. She wasn't whiny and weak or overly strong and powerful. Sebastian was incredibly dreamy. I wish he was more of a talker, but I can live with what I got.
It is so hard to really go into detail on how fabulous this book was without spoiling so much. It wasn't your typical vampire tale, and that just helped with it's charm I think. I really recommend this to everyone!

Dawn's first trip away from home is a mission to assemble a new team of guardians for the small town of Angel Creek. There's four very different vampires she must round up: a preppy cheerleader, a quiet librarian, an alcoholic ex-rockstar, and a video game nerd. She definitely has a lot of work to do to get this group ready! Then there's the mysterious fifth vampire, Sebastian, who wants nothing to do with society, human or vampire. When a local human gets kidnapped by rogue vampires, Dawn must whip this unruly group into shape!
There's some interesting twists and turns along the way that I was not expecting at all! The story is most definitely unique and I enjoyed every page. I adored Dawn! She's super sweet, caring, determined, fierce and I loved witnessing her blossom into a strong woman.
ReVamped is lighthearted, fun, and has claimed a special place in my vampire-loving heart! I had such a good time reading it that I can overlook any inconsistencies and typos that stood out to me. It didn't effect my enjoyment of the book, so why dwell on it?! There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, action, and a bit of romance. If you're looking for a quick, super enjoyable read, this is definitely it!

What an intense read!
The writing is very good in a literal sense. That was one of the first things I noticed. The words used all made sense and I knew exactly what was being said, I didn’t have to re-read things to understand them. There were no long winded descriptions either which I loved.
The story its self was interesting, it was a very interesting take on vampires. I liked the Born and Made idea. It’s a new perspective with different ideas and I liked that. It’s gets boring seeing the same ideas used over and over again in the vampire world, yet authors keep coming out with different things which I think is pretty cool!
At the beginning of the story the first few pages were awesome, they’re pretty exciting and I couldn’t wait to see where it led. It was definitely a good start! One thing that threw me off though was that all of the background history was explained straight away. All at once. It was like information over load, I would have liked to find out about that as the story progressed in some way, not right at the beginning and all at once.
The writing style was a little off for me. At times it felt like the story was being told to us rather than the readers being drawn into the story. It took away some of the enjoyment of reading this book. It felt like the crucial moments were being explained so we didn’t get to feel them, we were only told about them even though they were happening right in front of us and that was pretty disappointing because I really could have liked this book a lot more.
Adams has written an interesting story, it was action packed and exciting most of the way through. Dawn was a pretty kick ass character! She was actually very mature, three quarter of the times. I loved that she could fight, that she was a natural leader and that she was so strong. She was also very likeable. But it was hard to feel for any of the other characters because we hardly got to know them, there wasn’t much character work on anyone except Dawn and that made me sad. So I found myself barely feeling for anyone because they were strangers to me. I had no connection to them what so ever. I really didn’t care what happened to them and in fact I kept forgetting their names so whenever another character was mentioned I had a hard time remembering who it was. Such a shame really.
I would definitely read this story if you like vampires. It has a bigger picture than just romance although there is some of that thrown in there too. The ending is rather cool and something I totally did not expect. Let me know what you thought of it!
To be honest I’m still excited to read the sequel, I want to see what Adam’s comes out with.
