I really enjoyed spending a day with Ford! He's messed up, but I love him just the same. Despite being super short, Huss managed to put in some real character development and even a break your heart moment. And of course, some sex. The pet situation is seriously fucked, but I like that she writes it that way - it's part of who Ford is and I wouldn't have been happy if she glossed over it. I'm super excited to read his other book, but since I picked these as #2018HW books, it's one a month!

Interesting....

This novella was the first step in getting to know and understand Ford. He can be an arrogant jerk, but he can also be so sweet and insecure that I just want to hug him.

Definitely reading Taut next.

I have been a Ford fan-girl ever since he showed up in the Rook and Ronin series, and Slack sealed the deal. He is so, so complex, a little scary and very moving. Now I'm off to read TAUT!
