Exposure did have me worried in the beginning. I was hoping that Evan's secret identity wouldn't be the main focus of the plot and cause a huge drama. I do love mistaken identity and double life stories, but this was more Superman and Clark Kent. The only difference between Evan and Rylan is that Evan wears glasses and comfy clothes rather than contacts and sexy outfits. That is not a good disguise! Anyone who subscribes to the magazine and sees Evan in real life will recognize her after a double take! Luckily, Dallas does immediately realize who she is and all of that nonsense was out of the way so we could get to the good stuff!
Exposure is the start of only the second series I've read involving erotic photography and I think it's going to be a new favorite set up! It could have easily gone into cheesy or raunchy territory, but it didn't. Everything is sexy and real! Well, there is some acting involved since Rylan and Dallas' photo shoot story is "sexy professor pops Rylan's cherry." But their chemistry and reactions are so real and intense! It's hard for them to separate what's put on for the camera with how they're really feeling. Dallas's discomfort at his feelings for Rylan, combined with his confusion over how supportive his longtime girlfriend is, creates for a big mess. Luckily, there's no huge drama, just a big blow up of feelings!
My only complaint about Exposure was that it was too short! I did like how nothing was dragged out or superfluous, but I wanted more! Things just progressed too quickly and I needed more of the in between stuff and the after stuff! There's only one sex scene at the end, but all of the photo shoots were hot as hell and partially made up for that.
