Romance Schmomance
I've been wanting to add books with older couples in them and this was one of my top recommendation. Trust me when I say that I did enjoy reading Disgrace, but the everyone in that town especially their parents, I couldn't stand and it overpowered their love story.
My favorite moments was when Grace would slowly start breaking away from shell and really standing up for herself. I hate how she put so much blame on herself, her character development was amazing and admirable. Because despite having some pretty crappy people in her life, she was willing to forgive.
Jackson was a bit of a tough egg to crack, a grumpy bear and a bit of an a-hole. But he was definitely a product of his upbringing. With his dad wasting away with alcohol, it does nothing for how mean he can be. It was tough to watch their spiraling relationship, but not once did Jackson leave his side.
I loved the tender moments that Jackson and Grace shared at the bookstore. With how horrible their town is, you can't help but root for their happily ever after.
I'm definitely going to go through the backlist of Brittainy's books, I loved her writing.
