Flow is a beautiful story, even if there also is a lot for the characters to overcome. Grip and Bristol come from opposite everything. Bristol grew up with a lot of money, but distant parents. Grip grew up with no money, but a lot of love. Bristol is white - and aware of some of the privileges that brings her. Grip is black and aware of all the disadvantages this brings him. However, they are both openminded and ready to learn. How to live together. How it is to be the other.
The writing is even more beautiful than the story, I fell in love with Kennedy's prose, but she also made me fall in love with her characters.

I am not a huge fan of novellas, but I understand the importance of this backstory. I was always curious about Grip and Bristol, and I am finally getting some answers. I liked getting to know Grip better, because there is a lot more to him than I originally thought. I am really looking forward to starting the next book.
