A story about losing a parent and coping with the feelings of grief, loss and anger.

Leo's class are all making flower pots to give to their mums at the Mother's Day breakfast. But Leo isn't making a pot. Leo's mum died in a car crash and won't be going to the breakfast. Leo works on his memory book instead, but he's still very angry. He turns his memory book into an imagination book, of all the things his mum would have loved to do. In the end, Leo's dad takes him for a special breakfast and they remember Leo's mum together.

Leo's Memory Book explores the issue of bereavement through a sensitive story that children can relate to. Providing a picture book approach to the PSHE topics of bullying, bereavement, divorce and adoption, A Helping Hand aims to help young children understand and cope with upsetting situations that they might face.
