This is another book I had to read for the course I'm taking at the moment. It was a decent read, filled with plenty of good information, but I felt that the author was fairly distant from what he had written. A lot of it was a refresher and I felt that parts were repetitive, but that can also be helpful. 'Essential' is quite a claim to make and I'm not sure it met the mark.
