The ecocell is a vertical integrating device to bring landscape elements, daylight, rainwater, natural ventilation and sewage recycling vertically across all levels of the builtform. The concept is explained in two masterplan projects by Hamzah and Yeang (registered T. R. Hamzah and Yeang Sdn. Bhd.) the Amsterdam Center of Science and Technology and the West Kowloon Waterfront Development.
