This volume is divided into two sections. The first section is includes eight chapters which introduce some of the diversity existing in Japan and issues faced by members of non-mainstream groups as well as mainstream Japanese who live among them. Section two continues to examine timely diversity issues in Japan by introducing theories used to understand diversity and interactions of mainstream and non-mainstream group members. The chapters in this part invite readers to think critically about diversity issues and diversity management strategies using examples from Japanese society.
