Tropico(tm) is first and foremost a 3D builder. The game provides over 85 structures to build, from hotels and spas to sugar plantations and rum distilleries for basic industry. Gamers assume the role of the newly installed dictator of an obscure Caribbean island, and must create a life of prosperity for a nation mired in poverty and civil unrest. Featuring over 45 different characters with up to 50 separate attributes for each, players must plan economic growth well in order to buy the peoples favor. As an added twist, the game has players choose good and bad qualities for themselves-here's the chance to rule the entire island however you'd like!
