Savitri Devi Mukherji (1905-1982) was the pseudonym of Maximiani Portas, a leading European intellectual who influenced the green and animal rights movements of the late 20th century, and a leading light of the National Socialist underground during the 1960s. A founding member of the World Union of National Socialists, she was a contemporary of George Lincoln Rockwell, Colin Jordan, Matt Koehl and many others of that era. Long Whiskers is the fictionalised autobiography and memoir of her favorite cats, intertwined with many fascinating personal insights into her life and thoughts. It is an essential addition to any Savitri Devi library, and shows this great writer's human side and values at their best.
