Wallace and his friends are real enough, you meet them every day. Nice people; genuine some might say. They all belong to a club called 'The Escape Committee' which is very selective. Only very unusual people can join. They get up to all sorts of exciting things; derring-do and stuff like that. They meet in the club house, down the bush track by the baobab log to talk nonsense. Whether it's space travel in a sky-rocket or battling the Demon of the Deep in a magic well; riding push-bikes down a mountain or making up the chorus line for the panto at the Bulawayo Metropole, these brave souls can do it all. Armed with little more than denture adhesive, a lo-cal leaf-substitute briquette and an old string vest they venture forth, blind to the danger...an inspiration to us all.
