There is a rare genus of line in architecture which Cohen has named the "terminal line" - a line generated by a temporary loss of smoothness (continuity of slope and curvature) within a single surface; a line which does not act as a seam of boundary. This book contains three recent projects by Cohen which develop the idea of the terminal line.
