It provides detailed biographies and credits for over 100 set- and costume-designers, ranging from legendary figures such as Edith Head, Hein Heckroth and Edward Carrick to contemporary designers such as Sue Blane, Christopher Hobbs and James Acheson. Catherine Surowiec was part of the original research team for the British Film Institute's Museum of the Moving Image.
