Flash is an animation and streaming tool used to create "webisodes" which are streaming productions used in advertising, entertainment, education, contests, and interactive television. With this text developers, producers, and animators are shown how to maximize all of Flash's animation and production power. Each chapter focuses on a specific part of the development process of an actual cartoon webisode that will be completed by the end of the book. Within each chapter there are examples and exercises that help designers acquire problem-solving skills, fundamental knowledge of how to use Flash in movies, and solid animation abilities. "Broken webisodes" are also included to challenge the designers newly acquired problem-solving skills. The text; provides hands-on instruction on how to produce webisodes and dynamic content using Flash; details the issues involved in producing a webisode from developing the story to putting it on the Web; and covers sound, interactivity, scripting, and deployment of Flash animations. The CD-ROM contains project fla files, wav files, music libraries, and evaluation software.
It contains all of the project webisodes artwork that the user can use to develop the webisode production files. Each chapter has two directories, one with project files and one with finished files. It also contains the finished webisode in fla and swf format and a bonus online comic book. Additionally, it contains the webplay, some storyboards, and production templates.
