This volume of the series "Fuentes para la historia del teatro en Espana" lists alphabetically the titles of plays of which performances are recorded in volume I (based on sources form the Archivo del Palacio Real), IV-VI and XI of the series (which form a calendar of documents on the public theatres dating from 1651-1719, preserved in the Municipal Archive of Madrid). Each entry discusses the authorship of the play and, where possible, identifies the playwright. The dates and places of performances are listed and the company responsible for each performance is also named. Details are also provided on the first printed edition of the play and the whereabouts of all known manuscripts.
