In April 1990, Curry set out from the French side of the Pyrenees to walk the medieval Pilgrim Road to Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain, a distance of some 500 miles. This records his experiences on that walk, but links them to the history of The Road, and to the theme of the journey.
