A New Yorker takes her planned honeymoon in London though her fiance backed out of the wedding a few weeks earlier. A Londoner, a native of Newcastle, crashes her bike into our narrator in Hyde Park. They speak and have dinner and share an innocent kiss when they part company.
The New Yorker hosts our Brit when she comes to New York, and they share yet another, still innocent kiss.
Neither woman has been with another woman, though they've had plenty of failed liaisons with men. When the Brit gets a posting to her firm's New York office, they meet yet again and things develop between them. And develop more. It is, after all, a romance.
