Each of the 20 chapters gives advice on a different area of turning - including sanders, cutters and polishers, practice and perseverance, coping with the unexpected, adapting and restoring damaged pieces, inlaying, and tapping threads. The author has over 60 years of experience and a family history of turning. This knowledge of traditional techniques combined with an interest in new developments and skills, allows him to adapt techniques from both old and new.
