This is a pocket guide to the Windows 3 system manual which offers help concerning more advanced installation actions not covered in the manual, a set of tables describing permitted devices which is not available in the main manual, but only later in the program on the system discs, a reminder of the menu structure and a guide to add-ons. In particular, the book features the use of Windows 3 with MS-DOS 5.0, a combination that will become increasingly common as users change over to MS-DOS 5.0 (and also necessary, as Windows 3 requires a lot of memory capacity - beyond the usual 1 Mb). It also deals with features of Windows 3 that are not well documented in the main manual, such as the layout of the WIN.INI files, SYS.INI files and PIF-editing.
