Experiential learning is a process in which experiences form the basis of learning. Students are asked to reflect on their work experiences; this results in students creating their own knowledge and guidelines for new experiences. Experiential learning prepares students for the challenges of experiential learning and the workplace. It is a working manual with exercises, self-assessments and debriefings, and it addresses generic and specific skills required for experiential learning and the workplace. It may be used by students and lecturers individually or in class, prior to entering the workplace for experiential learning and/or permanent employment.
