The European Quality Award is the most widely used TQM self-assessment framework in Europe. Since its launch in 1991, many successful companies have used it as a model by which to assess their own internal activities. Based on the experiences of companies such as British Gas, Royal Mail, Ericsson and Rank Xerox, this report evaluates how the model is being used and offers guidance on how it may be applied to organizations considering using it.
