I was too uncomfortable with the age difference. Maybe when I was younger I wouldn’t have minded so much, but my sister is 17 now and I still see her as a kid, and don’t even get me started on those 14 year old Briar flashbacks. I just couldn’t get behind this story 🤷🏻♀️
Age differences generally don’t bother me, but a 21 year old with a 17 year old sis (for some odd reason). Maybe it’s because their relationship changed when she was 14, but I couldn’t reconcile these two being together.
By FAR one of my favorite books of 2017. This was so well written and evoked an incredible amount of emotion as well as having a few laugh out loud moments that really balanced the story out. I highly recommend this one :)
