William Bligh FRS RN (9 September 1754 - 7 December 1817) was an officer of the British Royal Navy. Subject to a mutiny whilst commanding the HMS Bounty in 1789; Although most people know about the mutiny less well known is the remarkable voyage to Timor, Bligh and his loyal men made after being set adrift in the Bounty's launch by the mutineers.
