After being ambushed at the Keel Atunnon, Pal and Tom are abducted by trogs out of Fennoria. The Company of the Stone is divided. Arlindor leads half of the company and goes on to Neutria, while Blondor leads the rest of the company and follow Pal and Tom and his abductors, to rescue them from the clutches of Queen Wargana of Fennoria. They will have to storm the gates of Fennoria and make their way to Queen Wargana's lair in the fortress of Areisten and then make their escape over the Axis Mountains to Lothangia. Along the way they must battle trogs, witches and even dragons
