As a consultant, he specializes in custom database programming, networking, and systems installation. He has authored 32 books including several bestsellers such as Mastering Windows and Windows NT Unleashed.

Brian Knittelis co-author of Special Edition Using Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Special Edition Using Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. He is a software developer, consultant and writer. He specializes in document conversion and networking. After finishing graduate studies at the UC Berkeley he established a technical consulting firm in Berkeley.
