Part of a four-book course which develops students' awareness of cultural differences and similarities while they learn to listen to, understand, speak and write Spanish. The new edition has increased use of authentic material, a greater emphasis on developing communicative competence and the inclusion of fun activities. In addition, there is strong adherence to sound grammatical accuracy and vocabulary building, both of which help develop student proficiency in preparation for their CXC Basic- and General-level examinations. The course uses authentic situations, beginning with real life classroom situations and gradually moving out into the neighbourhood, community and the Spanish-speaking world. Books 1 to 3 are used in lower secondary years, allowing students to enjoy and develop Spanish as a foundation for CXC study. Book 4 is the examination-level text and has plenty of practice and revision to prepare students for the CXC examination. This workbook accompanies book 1.
