Really really liked this one! Not one bad thing I can think to say about it!
If you don't know - I love Joss Stirling. I find all her books highly enjoyable, funny, and with great characters and familial relations. But this is the first straight out contemporary novel she wrote - no cool superpowers and mind altering villains. Or so I thought. She still knows how to create creeptastic villains, magical or otherwise, and I enjoyed these book as much as I did the others.
Let me give you some key words for this book: boarding school. Bullying. Spies (or agents, whatever). Dancing. General hawtness.
Does any of these sound interesting to you? If so, I suggest you pick it out, because it really is pretty great. Can't think of a single bad thing about it - Raven and Kieran were great main characters. The romance was slowly built, convincing, and plainly hot while keeping to the YA guidelines. The plot was interesting and intriguing, and there was the right balance between school life and spies stuff.
Raven is brave and strong, facing horrible situations. I still kind of wish we learnt more of her past; why did he single her out, how she dealt, how she finally got out of it, etc. But that didn't stop me from feeling like I knew her.
Kieran is... well, he's my type. Super smart,
can we talk about the kiss for a minute!?
