The most popular bidding system used in social bridge circles is the so-called Phoney Club. The advantages claimed by its supporters is that suit opening bids contain at least five cards. Partly because of inadequate documentation, however, the system is rarely used in tournament (duplicate) bridge. The author's primary objective is to have his system adopted by young players who will then make their mark in the tournament game.
