I have to confess this isn't my favorite one of the series. The romance isn't quite so much. There are fewer characters and they're mostly just ok. I didn't love the heroine really. Normally Chrissy is a pretty great fairy godmaother, even though she seems inept - it kind of works. This time, the mythology is wider but she's all about her own interests. Where before she was distracted by her own stuff but still (kind of carelessly) putting the girl on the right path. And she kinda had some really good points. This time it's like she's messing up on purpose to push the girl where she wants her. Kailen, though, was cool and I hope he shows up in the next story.

It wasn't a bad book at all. Just, none of it was quite as fun or magical as the first two.
