In 1986 Andy Lakey had a near-death experience, in which he reported an encounter with angels. He began producing pictures of his heavenly visitors, aiming to produce 2000 pictures by the year 2000. This book, illustrated with 100 of his paintings, chronicles this five-year creative output. The book shares the insights of people who have been influenced by his work, from art critics and collectors to Ray Charles, Gloria Estefan and General Chcuk Yeager. Andy Lakey believes that he has been guided by angels since the day of his near-death experience, and that since then the guidance has increased in power and clarity. He also believes in the power of "coincidence", and states that the number of people who are aware of these coincidences is increasing dramatically as we approach the millenium.
