William Tyndale loved children, especially the children of his native England. It was his heart's desire to give the children of England the best of all possible gifts, the Word of God in their own language. This gift was expensive; Tyndale suffering poverty, exile, constant threat of arrest, and ultimately martyrdom, but Tyndale would stop at nothing until he had placed a Bible in the hands of the English plow-boy.
