This three-part publication complements the design guidance document for fire and security systems (AH 1/92). The first part contains general information common to all systems: project management, wiring, power supplies, alarm signalling, integrated systems, documentation, definitions, and associated checklists. Part Two covers fire detection systems: conventional, addressable and analogue addressable. The installation, commissioning and maintenance of the various system componenets (detectors, call points, sounders and control panels) are descibed. Several sample checklists are included. The security systems in Part Three include intruder alarms, closed circuit television, and access control. All three parts are available as a set as well as a two-part set when part 1 is purchased with either part 2 or part 3.
