3.5 Stars.
I really enjoyed the storyline, the element of mystery and discovery was wonderfully written. Historical, beautifully diverse and a great read for a weekend on the couch. I found Elizabeth to be quite condescending at times though, especially when constantly reminding her family that she was forced to give up her career to financially support her siblings and grandparents, grandparents that ensured she was cared for emotionally and domestically. But enjoyed it nonetheless and looking forward to the next instalment.
