It started in the Holts Farm complex, an abandoned cinema, when the first gate opened and the undead poured out.
The government thought they could contain it at first, running experiments to see how the populous would cope with an invasion of the undead, and providing the ultimate zombie experience for willing participants.
But when more gates began opening across the globe their fail-safes proved inadequate and the undead swarmed the Earth.
Accompanied by a lone female soldier left behind to supervise the experiment, the latest group of test subjects find themselves fighting not only zombies but whatever other unworldly creatures Hell can conjure up.
One of the group, a woman plagued by harrowing visions since childhood, finally awakens fully during the events and starts to exhibit deadly new skills even she didn't know she had, to the interest of the soldier and the confusion of her friends.
