This is the story of a thirty-something Australian, who took his mother on a six-week trip around Europe, written rather in the style of Bill Bryson. Interwoven with an intimate, but very funny account of the trip is the author's own journey of spiritual self-discovery. He writes about his life as a Jesuit, and explores his relationship with his mother, and with his father who died several years before. Places visited in the UK include major tourist spots like Bath and Haworth, as well as Cardinal Newman's room in Birmingham, and tea in the House of Lords.
