Big cats live in many parts of the world. Many lead solitary lives, but we see how some, such as lions, live together in family groups. The text describes how big cats stalk and kill their prey, and how their markings help to camouflage them. It shows how cubs are raised and how they are able to fend for themselves. Sadly, some big cats are becoming endangered species. The author discusses this and looks at ways in which we can help fight their destruction.
