The purpose of this text is to demonstrate how university data can be used to assess information. We use the University of Louisville's enrollment database as well as other publicly available information on faculty work contracts to assess the Department of Mathematics. The information acquired here can be examined for any other Department or School using similar exploratory statistical techniques. In addition, we use material that we found on university websites to compare the University of Louisville to other schools.
