In each book, the author uses cartoons and an entertaining storyline to enhance and give the reader an insight into full-colour reproduction of each artist's most famous paintings. The reader is encouraged to look at each painting and notice changes in the artist's style during his lifetime. A section at the end of each title gives more detailed information about the artist's life, his style of painting and the times in which he lived.
