For the past thirty years, almost unnoticed by the wider Christian community in the UK, a powerful movement has been developing across the nation. The leaders tend to be people that few have heard of. The movement has received very little financial backing from either the churches or the Government. It has been attended by a sense of great struggle and sacrifice, and has had to contend with opposition and verbal abuse. Yet the movement in retrospect can rightly be called powerful.

There are thousands of graduates to the new Christian schools who are already beginning to make their mark on our society. The hundred, or so, schools that are currently in existence are influences for good in the areas where they are situated. Much more has been accomplished than the early pioneers would have ever dreamt was possible.
