This is the story of Richard Kirwan and his life and experiences working his way up the Ordnance Survey of Ireland, his facination with maps and map-making and the history of map-making in Ireland.

It's an interesting story and full of twists and turns, while the last few chapters strayed off the topic, I still found it very interesting
