Not every American Solider in Iraq is out in the bullets, blood, and guts. The greatest battle for Specialist Elijah Ali is against boredom and complacency. But even working at the ever-quiet Checkpoint Seven, he's a good enough solider to remember that this could change in an instant. Blade of Isaac is part one of what may become many stories following the adventures of Elijah Hassan Ali. These are my first longer fictional works that are real-world, contemporary. I plan to write at least one more story taking place after this one, to be titled Lucid. I also may lengthen Blade of Isaac into a full-length novel someday. This story is fictional, but much of what happens is closely based on my own experiences when I served in Iraq for OIF III & IV (2005-2006).
