Why Philippians I wrote this book because there was something lacking in my own life. What I lacked was joy! I wanted the joy of the Lord back. I had allowed things to rob me of my joy, and I had allowed worry (what might happen to me, my family, and the church), to take my joy away. I wanted my joy back. I discovered early on in my walk with the Lord that the book of Philippians was a book about joy. This epsitle of only four chapters is all about joy, and joy was what I wanted, and so I set out on a journey to recapture my joy and the results is this book.
