East and West were as remotely known to each other as we are to millions of stars in this vast and enchanting universe. We ought to be immensely indebted to those adventurous explorers who risked their lives in those non-scientific societies and reached the parts of the world which were only in their dreams. Some explorers had set out with some specific destination points, which they had set with the help of the four known directions to them, but they finally reached somewhere else. Christopher Columbus was one such great explorer who had set out with a desire to reach India but he landed on the shores of now known as America. Like him, many other explorers reached the other parts of the world.

One thing is quite praiseworthy and strange that most of these explorers were from the western countries. In this book you will find their detailed biographies, their quests, their failures, and their grand triumphs, with proper illustrations and paintings made by their contemporary artists.
