Getting UP, a revolutionary storyline written by Marc Ecko, takes players on a journey as they struggle to save a neighborhood from an oppressive government. One question stands out: What if graffiti could change the world? Players risk their life battling city authorities and rival graf gangs as they try to get their tag up, they must "Get IN, Get UP and Get OUT". Players are Trane, a "toy" graffiti artist with street smarts, athletic prowess and vision to become an "All City King", the most reputable graffiti artist. Players battle through eleven city environments with 20 gameplay levels, equipped with fighting mechanics that combine kicking, grappling, punching and improvised weaponry. Hip-hop artist Talib Kweli is featured as the voice of Trane, as well as authentic tags from more than 50 real-life graffiti artists, six of whom are in-game mentors. Using their fighting talents and high-wire graf, players work to expose the city's leader as a corrupt tyrant.
